I've never been a fan of the "look" of a highchair. I like different! Before purchasing I did much research. I really didn't want anything bulky. I have always loved the look of the old wooden highchairs. So finally after much thought, we decided (I decided) the highchair for Coulter would be the black painted wood one from jcpenny.com . It worked great for a few months. Then, screws started to fall out...all the time. Replacing them got to soon be a bothersome task. The last straw in the deal was the tray---Coulter was strong enough to push the wood tray off onto the floor with a lOuD bang! It soon happened every meal. Annoying!!
WE changed. I conformed. And now all is good! Coulter loves his Graco-bulky-looks-like-every- other High Chair!

so, don't get the black wooden JCP highchair is the moral of the story huh? glad you all are happier after the change!
