Sold Out!
With just a few short days left in our first home together on Dodge Street (tear...sniff...sniff) we have a lot to do, and having a baby is not one that I would like to squeeze in on my list...maybe come Monday I would be a little more ready. We now have less than 4 weeks to my due date!
It's a blessing how all these things have been laid out before us although I didn't feel that way when we got our offer and closing date. We put our house on the market early July and after 1 week we had an offer which we accepted. Boxes are now piling up in our garage into two piles. One for storage and one for the apartment. Yup, we are moving to a 3 bedroom apartment in town. The apartment building was the old Elementary School where Tom attended. Our 3rd floor room is right above the old principals office and the old slate chalkboards pave the entryway in each apartment. I've already gotten my sidewalk chalk ready for Coulter!! A great extra feature of the apartment--the gym is still in on 1st floor--a great place to burn energy on a rainy/snowy day!
I don't think I have ever had as much on my plate as I do now...to list a few...moving/packing-temporarily downsizing, having a baby, building a house in all it's detail (which has the ground-breaking date of...drum roll please...AUG 5th!!!), all while being a wife and mother to our little family! Now I am not mentioning this for your to feel sorry for me. I am actually doing great with it all! Packing a little each day--all ready for Friday when I can just direct ALL.OUR.HELPERS* where things go. Of course no one would expect a very pregnant lady to do the moving, right?
*my parents are coming down to help us, Tom's family will be around too. AND we have had numerous offers to help!! Thanks everyone!

Oh my gosh, girl! I'm so excited for you. Everything has worked out so perfectly. And, yes, it's a little busy right now, you know with a baby on the way and all...but if anyone can do it, it's you.
I'm sniffing and sobbing at the idea of your first house being sold too.
