The Greatness of small-town Luverne...
Today we had 2 unexpected inteviews with 2 of the news stations in Sioux Falls, SD.
Today Tom called me, while at the park with Coulter, "Wanna do an interview with KTLD and KELO at 10:45?" (it was 9:00 a.m.) "Sure, I better get home quick though." So home is where we got, quick. Coulter took a little earlier nap than normal but it all worked out. He was involved for these too...it was about our family.
Q: Now just what were these interviews on?
A: Well, Luverne has this GREAT incentive program going on for new home builder's in town (thru Sept 1st 2008). AND being that we are new home builders and qualify for all of these AWESOME incentive AND BEING that we were the first family to partake in the program they wanted to interview us for their news stories.
I just got off the with my dad telling about our interviews. He says this, "You get your baby's picture taken after birth for hospital brochures* and newspaper ads* and you get on T.V. for building him a new house...now what?" We will just have to wait and see.
*Coulter & I had our pictures taken as advertisment for Sanford Hospital OB. (this happened before I started blogging otherwise I would have shared). The day I was being discharged from the hospital they wanted to get a few photos of a new family and we were a NEW FAMILY. I however, was in my normal clothes ready to check out. I had to get back into a gown and pose with my sweet baby boy--(just me and my baby everyone else had to leave the room) It was pretty cool. Since then, Coulter and I have made it in many of the local papers around here adversiting for Sanford OB (and on a number of occasions). We got a disk of the professional pics that were taken by the photographer. And we also just got our photo in one of their brochures they give to new mothers advertising their birthing suites. SWEET it was.
Anyways, we will be on the news tonight at 6pm and 10pm. Check it out if you are in the area.

Such a NEAT little story on your family. We stayed up till 10:20 just to watch it! :)
Oh Thanks Sara! You are sweet. Dinner was fun last night---even when we dined at two different tables for a while.
Which did you watch...KELO or KDLT?
We did make it home in time!!
What a neat experience! Your kids will think it's pretty cool to watch someday. I'll have to check if my parents were able to see it; they are usual nightly news watchers.
Stacey--we watched KELO!!
