Cell Phones Schmellphones
Remember when I was in NYC and my cell phone slipped ever-so-slightly out of my coat pocket in the Taxi?
And remember when we called my phone numerous times from my sister's/mom's phone to try and locate it even though I knew it was gone...forever?
AND remember when I called my husband so late in the evening (literally within 20 mins of the mishap) to tell him about it, and to see if he could call our provider to shut it off? Remember?
Well, when my sister Steph was calling my phone one of the million times she told me that the call just ended. I didn't think much of it. I kept trying from her phone and it rang and rang. No big deal. It was just sitting in the back of the taxi lonesome for my hands, right?
Tom took care of suspending my phone for a little while too...thankfully. BUT since the customer service was off for the night they couldn't do it till 8:00am the next morning. And yes again in the morning when I was calling my cell I finally got the message that, this number is no longer in service. Wonderful. Sealed Deal! Done!
OR SO I THOUGHT!
We got our lovely cell phone bill today.
The lucky lad that had my phone downloaded a whole heck of a lot of songs or whatever he/she chose to download and made some wonderful roaming calls. All.At.Our.Expense. And don't think I am not going to try and fight that one. They must have noted somewhere that Tom called to cancel right? Err.
